My name is Lisa Hackner and I am the founder of Genesis Community Garden,
“Where New Beginnings Grow”.
When diagnosed with 3rd stage metastatic breast cancer in 2021 I knew there was a new beginning ahead of me. I told my family that I was going to have a complete recovery and that "my best life was before me."
I had a miraculous response to treatment. The tumour that was the size of my palm, vanished in two treatments. My Doctor was shocked. I have been fully recovered since September 2022 when my treatments ended. This year January 2025, my oncologist told me if the cancer was coming back it would have by now. I am scheduled for my last appointment January 2026.
Loving what you do is a big part to living your best.
